Risk Assessment

A half day workshop for all office employees involved in carrying out risk assessment of work activities.

Aim

Under health and safety legislation the main requirement for employers is to conduct suitable and sufficient risk assessments. Risk assessment is a practical tool to examine what could cause harm and determine the actions needed to minimise the likelihood of anyone being hurt. This course puts the emphasis on practical exercises, meaning that delegates will leave with the ability to perform risk assessments in their own organisations.

Objective

• Know the legal requirements relating to risk assessment
• An understanding of the practical application of risk assessment techniques
• Carry out risk assessments in the workplace
• To be able to assess whether a risk assessment is ‘suitable and sufficient’
