| Dual Discrimination Claims Cancelled |

The Government has announced that the proposed dual discrimination rules will not be implemented. These rules would have allowed individuals who believed they had been treated less favorably because of more than one protected characteristics to bring a combined claim under the Equality Act. Also announced were possible changes to the rules on third party harassment as defined in the Equality Act. The Government intends to consult on the repeat of the provisions which require employers to take reasonable steps to ensure that employees are not harassed by third parties. |
